The Tax-Free Childcare Scheme is a government initiative aimed at helping working parents cover the cost of childcare. Through this scheme, parents can receive financial support, allowing them to save money on Ofsted Registered childcare expenses and effectively manage their work-life balance.
The scheme is open to working parents in the UK, including the self-employed, who have children under the age of 12 (or under 17 for children with disabilities). To be eligible, both parents must be working and earn at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week. The scheme is also available to single parents who meet these criteria. Individuals earning over £100k per year will not eligible.

Visit the official government website and create a Tax-Free Childcare account. You will be asked to provide your National Insurance number and a few additional personal details.
Fill in your child's details, and the system will automatically confirm whether you're eligible.
Parents can pay money into their Tax-Free Childcare account, which the government will top up with an additional 20% (up to £2,000 per child per year).
When you make a booking through RB Active Care, you can opt to pay via Tax-Free Childcare. Here's how the process works:
During the booking process, choose the payment option 'Pay via Tax-Free Childcare.'
After your booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email. This email will contain your Tax-Free Childcare reference specific to the selected venue.
Access your Tax-Free Childcare account and initiate a payment using the reference provided in your confirmation email. Keep in mind that it might take 3-5 business days for us to receive the funds.
When we receive the payment from Tax-Free Childcare, we will promptly update your account. Subsequently, you will receive an additional confirmation email indicating that the payment has been processed.
